Elegant strip corkscrew with springbok horn handle. The pointed metallic helix, often called worm, is made of stainless steel and attached to the handle through a small brass cylinder.

Englishman Samuel Henshall received the first patent for a corkscrew in 1795. The tool consisted of a pointed metallic helix attached to a handle and a small disc placed between the two parts to prevent the helix from going too deep into the cork.
